Air Fryer Mac n Cheese Balls

Instructions

  1. Boil Pasta. Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce. in a pan, add the plain flour and butter, whisk until combined. Slowly add the milk, continue whisking to make sure it is all combined. Add the cheese, mustard, salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta, then refrigerate until firm, this should take about 2 hours, or can be left overnight.
  2. Once firm, scoop the mac n cheese into 1.5 inch balls and place on tray lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 1 hour.
  3. Place beaten eggs in a bowl. In a separate shallow bowl mix together breadcrumbs, salt, and garlic powder.
  4. Dip each frozen ball into egg mix, then breadcrumb mix. Repeat till all balls are covered. Set air fryer to 180C and spray inside with cooking spray. Place balls in air fryer; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Cook for 6-8 minutes. Turn balls over and cook for further 4 minutes, or until golden.
